Evening with a Purpose
On July 31, 2011, an Evening with a Purpose was hosted by Susie and Steve Perry at their beautiful home in Newport Beach. This event was done with a special purpose: to help fund the Emergency Medical and Special Needs Program at Acres of Love. This program was started with the intent to create an emergency fund to defray the cost of medical expenses, giving even the most fragile children the possibility of a full, productive future. Thank you to the Perry’s for hosting this event, and thank you to those who’ve helped us reach our goal for this program.
Even among the poor and sick, there are those whose plight is worse. Among the children in South Africa who are orphaned, abandoned, or stricken by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, there are little ones ravaged by other conditions: Cerebral Palsy, Down’ Syndrome, and more. In a region where the people are often so taxed by the burden of simple survival, these especially vulnerable children don’t stand a chance…unless we create one for them.
EVANGEL CHURCH SINGAPORE VISITS ACRES OF LOVE | FEB 2011
Evangel Church in Singapore under the leadership of senior Pastor Dale Lim led a group of passionate members as “peacemakers on the road” ( POR) to South Africa and to visit Acres of Love in February 2011. Evangel Church donated their total missions offering taken in April 2010 to Acres of love. This generous gift enabled the CEO to remodel and equip the Linden Forever Family Home. Pastor Dale informed Ryan that the visit to the Linden Forever Family Home, Provision house and interaction with all the children entrusted into the care of Acres of Love “was life changing and very inspiring for the Singapore group”

We celebrate Seipati’s life. Celebration decides what you remember. Celebration reveals what you treasure. A little girl twirls around and around, smiling with giddiness and joy. This is how we remember, precious little Seipati, who spent too few days with us on this earth.
Seipati entered this world on October 6, 2003. Acres of Love was blessed to be able to care for and love her, showing her the affection of an embracing family and allowing her the freedom of her childhood.
We treasure her time with us. We treasure her constant joy and her enthusiasm for life, regardless of her health challenges. We celebrate the joy she brought to us. We celebrate her faith and her hope and her courage.

SAMSUNG DOES IT AGAIN WITH THE 2009 annual CHARITY GOLF DAY
Samsung's citizenship efforts encompass a broad range of areas that touch people's lives, including social welfare, culture and arts, volunteer services, academics and education, environmental protection, and international exchanges.
The Annual Charity Golf Day is the highlight of the year for employees and clients alike. It was held on 29 October 2009 at The Woodmead Johannesburg Country Club.
Samsung is a valued partner that has consistently delivered to and provided for the children at Acres of Love. The contribution generated from the 2009 event will be wisely used for education purposes.
Acres of Love sincerely thanks Samsung and their employees for their enthusiasm and commitment!
Silver Ring Thing
The Silver Ring Thing (SRT) Presentation was a fun, exciting and interesting day for the children. A message of sexual abstinence and purity was presented to our children emphasising the importance of being Godly women/men. The focus was on the emotional, mental, and relational results of engaging in pre-marital sex and making unwise decisions in all aspects of life that could result in trouble. The children were taught how to make correct choices in order to avoid in engaging in activities that they would regret. There were several comedy skits that explored the ways tweens and teens relate to each other. Although the kids found the show entertaining and they laughed a lot they certainly seemed to understand the message that was being portrayed. All of the 57 Acres of Love children that attended have chosen to become members of the SRT and pledge abstinence. The children will be receiving a ring and a teenage-friendly Bible. The ring is worn as a symbol and constant reminder of the pledge for abstinence a person makes and to follow Gods ways in their daily lives. The ring has an inscription on it that refers to Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 3-4: "God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin. Then each of you will control your body and live in holiness and honour".
Let’s pray that the SRT has given them some guidance in making the right choices. With God’s love and guidance and the entire Acres of Love team’s continuous commitment and involvement in these children’s lives – let’s pray adolescence does not have to be such tricky time for our children.

Child Enrichment Center
Acres of Love is pleased to update that we have achieved a milestone in our eleventh year of service to acquire the new Child Enrichment Center. The generous gift from an anonymous and valued family made this dream a reality.
The Child Enrichment Center (CEC) will strategically facilitate the future growth and national expansion of the Acres of Love model program. The new CEC will also serve as a base to host our global de facto family partners and other supporters. Our core executive team will also operate from this center.

Sonshine Forever Home
We are very grateful for the Sacred Harvest Foundation who has established the Acres of Love Sonshine Forever Home in Robyn Acres, Johannesburg, South Africa. Their gift will help precious children entrusted into our care.
